There’s no time like the present to get into the holiday spirit! While this Christmas may look a little different than years past, there’s still one tradition that doesn’t have to change - enjoying Christmas lights! Here are some popular spots to check out this month with friends and family!

Community Lights Display in Meridian

Meridian has started an interactive map where homes and businesses are added so that anyone can drive or walk by to check them out! Make the season a little bit brighter while checking out these community displays.

Winter Wonderland Creek Lights at Indian Creek Plaza

Each year, the Caldwell Street Department decorates Indian Creek with over a million lights! Bring your family (immediate household only is suggested) to see what they’ve decorated this year. Wear your mask, sanitize your hands, and enjoy this yearly experience.

Winter Garden aGlow at Idaho Botanical Garden

See what Santa and Mrs. Claus have been up to in the twinkling garden! Check out local vendors, model trains, and explore the Illumicone during the festivities! Social distancing and tickets are required and must be purchased in advance.

Scentsy Commons Christmas Lights

Check out the Scentsy Commons Christmas Lights every night between now and New Year’s Day! Over 43 miles of lights, a 75-foot Christmas tree, and the famous light tunnel await you! All attendees are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines and maintaining 6 feet of distance from guests outside of your party.

This Citizen’s Guide to the Boise Christmas Lights

Since 2015, William Higginson from Eagle, Idaho has compiled a list of impressive Christmas light displays across the Treasure Valley! In 2020, the website provides various drivable routes and maps for the specific areas you wish to explore. Their curated website highlights the best and the brightest displays for you and your family to enjoy!

Plans might have changed for you this holiday season, but don’t be too much of a Scrooge! There’s still so much to see and enjoy for Christmas 2020! Take a drive and enjoy some of the sparkly and shiny lights across town. Who knows - you could find a brand new light display, photo opportunity, or create a new holiday tradition!
