The good old-fashioned ooey-gooey cheeseburger is an American food icon, and it's usually topped with a moist and flavorful patty and warm cheese. No matter how refined your palate may be, a cheeseburger is a must on September 18 - National Cheeseburger Day. We've rounded up a list of some great burger joints in Boise and the surrounding area to get your fix for National Cheeseburger Day this year!

Burger 'n Brew

This burger menu will have you dying to try everything! From the classics, to their Signature Brew burgers, to the Knife & Fork burgers, there is absolutely something for every palate. Go for the classic cheeseburger, but consider the Stroganoff Burger or the Russian Burger for more diverse flavors on your burger.

Boise Fry Co.

Oh yeah, the Boise Fry Co. offers burgers to go with their fries! Their bison comes from Brown's Buffalo Ranch in Nyssa, Oregon, and the beef comes from Double R Ranch. They make their vegan burger using black beans, red quinoa, and a combination of spices and herbs. Plus, they use the whole wheat potato buns from Gaston's Bakery - freshly baked daily!

Sid's Garage

Every burger here is a 1/2 lb. Wagyu & Black Angus blend! Or, get a plant-based veggie patty with any of their burger choices. The Hangover Burger with applewood smoked bacon, fried egg, and cheddar cheese on a pretzel bun is perfect for a lazy Sunday...especially if you had a long night before! Go for the burgers, but stay for one of their ever-popular milkshakes!

Big Bun Drive-In

Since 1954, Big Bun has provided the community with a classic drive-in experience. Using only the finest quality beef from family-owned ranchers in the northwest, every burger is made to order! Offering daily specials, combos, and other sandwiches, this Boise staple would be a great place to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day!

The Ranch Scottish Highland Burgers

The Ranch Scottish Highland burgers are made from grass-fed beef, processed through USDA procedures. Their workers are also cowboys, as they work at Big Valley Ranch. Aside from the Scottish Highland hamburgers, they sell pulled pork, brats, and fresh-cut fries. Order online or pick up in the drive-thru! Every burger is served with fries and a drink!

Keep your eyes on social media for deals for National Cheeseburger Day! Some national chains may run a special, but locally owned spots may have deals! It's an excellent way to celebrate the holiday and support local businesses. Try any of these restaurants for a burger before? Which one would you choose?
