The school year is starting to wrap up, and it's time to start planning out summer activities for the kids! When you're not on vacation or seeing friends and family, the kids will need something to keep them busy when they're off for summer break. We've rounded up a shortlist of summer camps around the Boise area that are perfect for various ages.
Through a variety of art media, campers will have the opportunity to create their own projects. All of the activities are inspired by the museum's current exhibitions. Group sizes are small enough to provide the individual attention and safety they need.
Rock Camp is for students interested in learning about various musical genres. Students learn about instruments and form a band while learning cover songs and performing at one of their legendary gigs. For students aged 6-18 of all skill levels.
The Cabin’s Summer Writing Camp
Through The Cabin’s summer writing camps, kids can develop a lifelong love of writing. To create their own masterpieces, they explore different community spaces such as the Idaho Botanical Garden, Birds of Prey, and The Cabin. Teachers will also share their expertise in various forms of literature.
Boise State Youth Football Camp
The Boise State Football Coaching Staff plans to introduce students to the fundamentals of football, including the offensive, defensive, and special teams phases. The college players will lead a series of individual drills during each practice. The facility used for this includes the Caven-Williams Sports Complex, the Blue Turf at Albertsons Stadium, and the practice fields at both facilities.
iCode offers a wide range of computer science camps designed to help students develop their skills in areas such as robotics, 3D printing, and virtual reality. Through their computer science camps, children are exposed to a wide variety of hands-on activities and learning experiences designed to enhance their core STEAM skills. This is a great way to develop their passion for technology and learn more about education.
Challenger School Summer Program
Challenger’s summer program aims to instill in students a love of learning that will last a lifetime and prepare them for their future success. Through fun and challenging activities, they develop critical thinking and math skills. Challenger provides both half-day and all-day summer programming from preschool to middle school.
Boise Racquet & Swim Club Summer Tennis Camps
The Boise Racquet & Swim Club members are excited to welcome summer campers to their facility, which was established in 1967. They are dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for all members and hope to become one of the premier tennis clubs in the region. They offer tennis camps for all skill levels.
Kids ages 6 to 12 can join Tumble Time for fun-filled activities such as arts and crafts, water play, and more. We also offer daily field trips and more. Kids can participate in various activities such as swimming, gymnastics, and hiking.
