It's Prom Season in the Treasure Valley

Prom season is quickly approaching! That means tuxes, formal wear, hair and nail appointments - it's all happening. If the cost of prom season is a stressor for you or you have goods to share and donate for the season, look no further than one of these area organizations that are equipped to help high school students celebrate their proms without breaking the bank! Or find a local seller for a dress or tux deal that you just can't pass up!
The goal of the Boise High Prom Closet is to provide students in need with the necessary clothes to have a fun and memorable prom. Many students may not have the proper attire for their special night. With prom approaching on April 30th, the school is seeking formal dresses, suits, ties, shoes - anything related to prom! Donations are accepted at the school office during school hours.
Cinderella's Closet - Assistance League of Boise
Students in the Ada County area can rent formal wear for $20. At Cinderella's Closet, we have over 500 gowns in various sizes and lengths. Open every Wednesday and Saturday in April, students (with their school IDs) can rent formal wear and return it the Wednesday following their event. If you have gently used formal wear, bring it to the Assistance League's Thrift Shop and mention it for Cinderella's Closet. A tax receipt will be provided.
Treasure Valley Prom/Pageant Exchange
If you're looking for a budget-friendly dress option, this Facebook group is a great place to start! Dresses are listed for sale, trade, rent, or donation in all kinds of styles at all types of price points. Perfect for people who attend multiple formal events, like pageants or other performances. Businesses are prohibited from posting within the group, so you're working with private sellers.
