December may have already passed us by, but some of the coldest winter days are still upon us! If you're dying to get out of the house with the kids this month but aren't ready to spend lots of time outside, the Boise area has several indoor locations that will keep you and the kids busy during these chilly days.
Planet Kid is an indoor playground that features slides, tunnels, and swings for kids. It’s the largest indoor playground in Idaho. With over 30 slides and tunnels, it’s an excellent place for kids 12 and younger to play and climb. The Toddler Town area is also great for kids ages two and younger. This area features toddler-sized equipment that will keep them busy and mentally active. The Nosh bar and coffee shop are now open. There are a variety of kids’ drinks, food, and snacks.
Join Woodland Kids for a woodland adventure, where you can create and play in a fun woodland environment. There are various ways to get involved, such as building a treehouse, imaginary cooking, chalkboard art, or making a wooden toy in the woodworking shop.
As the only hands-on science center in Idaho, the Discovery Center teaches kids about science, technology, and engineering. Exhibits include SUE - The T. Rex Experience, Tinker the T-Rex, Matter Splatter, and Exquisite Creatures.
With two 4,000 ft² arenas, two dozen obstacles, and a variety of other barriers, Nerfed is the ultimate family-friendly experience. For Nerf Wars, we have a variety of dart and disk-based Nerf Guns that are great for all levels of play. Bring your own Nerf gun or borrow one! Bring the kids and have fun!
Escape This is the oldest and largest Escape Room in Boise. They currently have six rooms and are rated #1 in the city. With available rooms like Blackbeard's Ship, Wild West Saloon, The Wizard's Final Exam, Jungle Adventure, Zombie Apocalypse, and Santa's Workshop, this is an excellent activity for families with older children who like more of a challenge.
