As one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, you’ll find that breweries and taprooms are just as popular as coffee shops. From beer newbies to IPA devotees, the Boise breweries are delivering sudsy and hoppy delights of all kinds all over town. If you’re in the City of Trees, you’re in the perfect place for some outstanding beer! Grab a friend and check out some of these popular breweries.

Do you like experimental beer? Beer with unique flavors like peanut butter, mango, or maple? Barbarian Brewery is offering some of those most unique options you’ll find in the area. If you’re a beer traditionalist, don’t stress - you’re welcome here, too.

For a brewery that started in someone’s garage, White Dog Brewing now offers a beverage for all levels of beer drinkers. IPAs, Hefeweizens, sours, and plenty in between are perfect if you want to try a variety of different beer in one setting!

Have you ever tried potato inspired beer? A popular pour from Bear Island is their Idaho® Potato Ale - that is actually made with russet potatoes. Founded in 2014, this is the third-largest brewery in Boise and the 6th largest in the state of Idaho. With beers as unique as their titles (like Battle Hammer and Big Sticky) and plenty of pinball machines, you’ll have to stick around to try all of their small-batch brews! Order food from next door and make an evening of it. It’s quirky, and there is something for everyone!
