Boise and communities across the Treasure Valley are now becoming one of the hottest housing markets in the United States. Many Fortune 500 companies and employers set up here have added to its appeal. The upward trend in housing has been forecasted to continue into 2022 for many reasons.
Influx from Other States
Boise's popular art and culture scene as well as big-city amenities make it attractive as a remote working location. Many young adults are attracted by its stable economy and ample job market. Techies from Silicon Valley have been moving in dozens, buying homes as soon as they can. As more people from other states move in and as more companies start offices here, jobs and a need for more housing will increase.
Ample Job Opportunities
With many major companies setting up shop here, this is slowly becoming the mecca for job seekers. It has affordable housing coupled with fun year-round activities like camping, golf, and fishing. It is a great retreat for those looking for the relaxed, small-town charm - all within a larger city.
Affordable Rent
Boise looks pretty attractive as a renting option, with rents still lower than 19% of the national average. Often, it is cheaper to rent than buy a home in Boise. As the housing market continues to trend upward, 2022 may see some of these statistics change.
As people continue to buy houses at higher price points, the housing market will continue to see an upward trend. Work opportunities and appealing city scene culture are just some of the reasons we may continue to see a major rise in demand for housing in Idaho's capital city.
