Boise is known for its beautiful fall colors. One of the most popular nicknames for the city is "City of Trees." This is because the city gets to show off its vibrant colors during this time of year. There are plenty of activities and adventures in the area that you can enjoy this fall - festivals and events of all kinds are happening as the temperatures drop and colors change!
Flipside Fest - September 22-24
Three-day passes are available for $89. Single-day passes are also available for $39 to $49. The single-day passes are only valid on Saturday. The outdoor music of Flipside Fest will end at around 10:30 p.m. each night.
Idaho Renaissance Faire - September 23-24
The Idaho Renaissance Faire is held in Kuna and features various events and activities for people who love music and the Renaissance age. Enjoy live music, combat, fire eating, dance, and more over this two-day festival.
Old Boise Oktoberfest 2023 - September 23
Join the party for live music, beer, and more as Boise celebrates Oktoberfest with various German-style beers. Food will also be available, including bratwursts, pretzels, and "Reuben balls."
First Annual Idaho Cider Fest - October 7
The First Annual Idaho Cider Fest will happen in downtown Boise. Enjoy a variety of cidery beverages in the Freak Alley Gallery. You'll get to sample the best cideries from across the region. Each drink will introduce you to a different flavor in the craft beverage world. The event will be a fun and memorable experience for everyone, plus free admission!
Harvest Days at Idaho Botanical Gardens - Saturdays in October
Harvest Days is a month-long event at the Idaho Botanical Garden. It is a harvest season celebration featuring various activities and events. Special events include the Idaho Social Dance, Ghoul's Day Out, Hispanic Heritage Day, and October Fest. Their version of October Fest lets you enjoy a beer and brat while socializing with other patrons. The event will also feature live music, so make sure to dress appropriately for the occasion.
